The ingredients needed to make Collards:
- Prepare collard greens
- Prepare Pink Himalayan salt
- Make ready distilled white vinegar
- Prepare + 2 tablespoon sugar
- Make ready water
- Get bacon Drippings

Steps to make Collards:
- Look over and wash the leaves. Remove thick stems.
- Add bacon drippings
- In a pot add salt, sugar, 2 cups water and vinegar.
- Put on to heat. Add bacon and bring to boil
- When the broth is boiling good add the collards. This allows the greens to shrink and fit in the pot faster.
- Stir every 20 minutes don't allow them to clump up
- After 1-1/2 hours mix the remaining sugar with water and add to the collards. Keep adding water as needed. I think I used a gallon or more total.
- Add the rest of the seasonings stir well
