- Once browned add a splash of balsamic vinegar to the pan and use a wooden spoon to scrape up the bits.
- Poor the sausages and and drippings into your crockpot.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to your crockpot, Set it for medium-high for 6-8 hours.
- STOVETOP VERSION-In a dutch oven or similar sized pot brown your sausages on all sides, don’t worry about cooking them through, just get a nice color on them.
- Once browned add a splash of balsamic vinegar to the pan and use a wooden spoon to scrape up the bits.
- Add your onions, peppers, and garlic to the pot, cook until everything begins to soften.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, stir together and let it lightly simmer on the stove on medium low for 1-2 hours.
